Why is Pinocchio so famous in Florence?
Pinocchio is the character invented in 1883 by Carlo Lorenzini, born in the center of Florence. The nickname Collodi he used in honor of the village where he spent his summer holidays at his grandparents' farm. In this little village you can actually find the Pinocchio Park, very nice to visit with children. Better after having read the story in its entirety.
Why is Pinocchio so loved?
Pinocchio is a bit like all of us. Funny, mischievous, and always ready with a lie! A warning for everyone, the book tells the childhood of all adults, a bit gruesome for children, hilarious for the older ones. His story tells how much he has to struggle to "become a real boy", to grow up, especially in character. He will become a "real boy" when he is sincere, attentive, kind, studious, and when he takes care of his dear father. The book is exciting, fun, and moving. Disney then managed to take the most romantic features of the story and turn them into one of the first and most beloved animated films in the history of cartoons.
